Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, toileting, bathing and grooming
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
Accurately document care given and vital signs in resident records
Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control practices
Build caring relationships with residents and communicate effectively with families
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Active ability to work in Maine (local candidates preferred — LOCAL ONLY noted)
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Reliable, punctual, and able to work the overnight shift

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing care
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
Good documentation and charting abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
Team-oriented mindset with reliable time management
