Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to keep residents comfortable and dignified
- Monitor and record vital signs and observations accurately to support clinical decisions
- Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in patient charts and communicate changes in condition
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and the team
- Build positive relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in good standing (state licensure required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working a night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Local candidates only (position is local-only)
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in personal care, bathing, grooming, and toileting assistance
- Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and observational reporting
- Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
- Able to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
