Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional status and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to restore mobility and independence
• Document patient progress clearly and communicate updates with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
• Adapt treatment approaches for a diverse caseload and changing clinical needs

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license (ability to obtain California licensure required for this assignment)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or equivalent PT degree
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting and a team-oriented mindset
• Reliable clinical documentation and strong interpersonal communication skills

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master's or Bachelor's in Physical Therapy considered where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and functional mobility interventions
• Knowledge of discharge planning and interdisciplinary care coordination
• Ability to assess and modify treatment plans based on patient response
• Strong documentation practices and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Patient-centered approach with emphasis on safety and measurable outcomes
