Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility while preserving resident dignity
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Document care accurately and timely in resident records
• Collaborate with nurses and facility staff to deliver consistent, person-centered care
• Maintain safe infection control practices and a clean, secure environment
• Support meal service and ensure residents receive appropriate assistance during meals

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification (VT or NH as applicable)
• Must have reliable personal transportation — local-only assignment
• Willingness to work the evening shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) and commit to every other weekend
• Ability to pass facility screening and comply with facility RTO policies (all time-off requests must be approved in advance)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a care team

Education

• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
• Ability to take and record vital signs and recognize changes in condition
• Competent documentation and charting practices
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills and resident-centered approach
• Teamwork and time management in a busy long-term care setting
