Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility, following established protocols
- Assist nursing staff with treatments and follow care plans carefully
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Promote a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families and the care team
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
- Active CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts including weekends
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe patient handling and personal care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Local candidate (site notes indicate local-only assignment)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient hygiene, ADLs and basic bedside care
- Accurate vital signs measurement and reporting
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Infection prevention and control procedures
- Safe patient transfer techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
