Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients as an LPN, ensuring safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility standards
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and plan transitions
• Perform routine assessments, report changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain clear, timely charting and use the facility's documentation systems effectively
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education to support recovery and well-being
• Support a positive patient experience through respectful communication and attentiveness
• Float to other areas as needed to meet patient care demands and promote team coverage

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license (must be valid for practice in Pennsylvania)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and provide every-other-weekend coverage
• Comfort with floating between units and adapting to changing patient needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented work style
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements

Education

• Completed accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent vocational nursing training

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic IV/PO competency for the LPN scope
• Skilled in wound care, vital sign monitoring, and patient assessment
• Accurate, timely documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Patient education, discharge planning support, and family communication
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
