Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, includes every other weekend (overnight/night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and support daily living needs
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Monitor, record, and report vital signs and changes in patient condition
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
Assist with admissions, discharges, and smooth patient transitions
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up needs
Escalate clinical concerns to RNs or providers promptly and professionally

Qualifications

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (state required)
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
Previous clinical experience preferred; comfort working overnight shifts
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team

Education

LPN diploma or completion of an accredited practical nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and documentation best practices
Basic patient assessment and monitoring
Wound care fundamentals and dressing changes
Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
Time management during 12+ hour overnight shifts
Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
