Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly report changes to the nurse in charge
• Support mobility and transfers using safe body mechanics and equipment
• Provide friendly, person-centered care and build trusting relationships with residents
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Document care and observations clearly in the resident chart and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and active placement on the state registry
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable with evening shift responsibilities and working as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with ADLs, ambulation and safe resident transfers
• Knowledge of infection control practices and standard precautions
• Basic competency with taking and recording vital signs
• Reliable documentation habits and clear communication with nursing staff
• Ability to work calmly in fast-paced care environments and prioritize resident safety
