Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance using proper body mechanics
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing team with routine care tasks and follow care plans closely
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document observations and changes in resident condition in a clear, timely manner

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Valid state authorization to practice in New Mexico (as applicable)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and required pre-employment screenings
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) and toileting assistance
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs and observing changes in condition
• Basic charting and documentation skills; familiarity with electronic health records a plus
• Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork within a nursing/rehab environment
• Understanding of infection control standards and resident safety practices
