Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs and patient condition
• Assist the nursing team with activities of daily living and timely response to call lights
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients and visitors
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, and families to support individualized care plans
• Support team-based care by reporting changes, following direction, and participating in shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• Active state CNA registry or license as required by facility
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Recent hands-on experience as a CNA is a plus
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and personal care skills
• Comfortable with documentation and basic charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nurses
