Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (varies), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Day shift

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote comfort and independence
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Support residents during meals and document intake as required
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control protocols
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — New Mexico preferred or eligible for reciprocity
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
Compassion, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills

Education

Completion of an accredited CNA training program or state-recognized nursing assistant program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care
Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
Good communication and teamwork skills in a clinical setting
Ability to follow care plans and report changes to nursing staff
