Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, supporting comfort and dignity
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Support safe mobility and transfers according to care plans
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Document care and observations accurately and promptly
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Class: CNA)
- Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts as scheduled (start 6:00 AM)
- Previous experience in rehab, long-term care, or similar setting is a plus
- Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
- Vital signs measurement and observation skills
- Infection control and safe handling practices
- Accurate documentation and charting
- Teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff and leadership
- Empathy, patience, and resident-centered care approach
