Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the rehab unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and report changes in condition
• Document care in the chart and maintain accurate clinical records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab team members to plan and coordinate care
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe transitions
• Respond effectively to clinical emergencies and support unit safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Comfortable working night shifts and flexible per diem assignments
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• LPN: Diploma or practical nursing program completion
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and patient assessment
• Experience or comfort working in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting
• Proficient documentation skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Good clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Collaborative approach to working with therapists, physicians, and support staff
