Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Help with safe transfers and ambulation, following facility protocols
• Document resident care and observations clearly in the medical record
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, residents, and families
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Support a positive team culture and contribute to resident-centered care plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania) or eligibility to obtain state certification
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and required health screenings
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a hands-on caregiving role
• Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills
• Previous CNA experience preferred, but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs
• Knowledge of basic infection control practices
• Comfortable with patient transfers and safe mobility techniques
• Good documentation and observation skills
• Teamwork and communication in a clinical setting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
