Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations accurately
• Support safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning with attention to dignity
• Communicate effectively with nurses and the care team to support timely interventions
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control practices
• Document care promptly and accurately to support continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (or active certification in process)
• State-specific CNA registration or ability to obtain New Mexico CNA credentials
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar patient-care setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program or equivalent state-approved training
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on patient care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear, respectful communication
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Team-oriented approach and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Awareness of infection control and safety best practices
