Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with ADLs and mobility
• Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers, positioning, and fall-prevention measures
• Assist with meal service, feeding, and following dietary instructions
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, following infection-control practices
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Valid state registration/licensure for New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Background check and immunizations as required by the facility
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic nursing care skills and knowledge of ADLs
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
• Reliable documentation and charting practices
• Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control
• Good time management and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
