Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Perform routine vital sign checks and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention by using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Provide compassionate patient comfort and emotional support during their stay
• Follow infection control practices and contribute to a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligible for state certification
• CPR or BLS certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with strong skills are welcome
• Ability to lift, move, and assist patients safely and follow facility protocols
• Strong communication skills and a patient centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living assistance and patient hygiene
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic charting
• Understanding of infection prevention, safety, and patient confidentiality
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Comfortable working independently during night shifts and escalating concerns appropriately
