Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while preserving dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other patient observations
• Support safe transfers and mobility, following safe patient handling practices
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting in the patient record
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive, respectful environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; ability to maintain state requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered attitude
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and handling physical aspects of patient care
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork and professional conduct

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and comfort measures
• Monitoring and reporting vital signs and changes in condition
• Experience with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
• Basic charting and documentation best practices
• Infection control and proper use of PPE
• Time management, teamwork, and effective communication
