Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to residents
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and any changes in condition accurately
• Assist nursing staff with safe transfers, mobility support, and positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
• Communicate effectively with the care team and families to support individualized care plans
• Document care in the facility charting system promptly and accurately

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable providing hands-on resident care with empathy and professionalism
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Previous long-term care or rehab experience is a plus but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care and dignity-focused approach
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection control, hand hygiene, and PPE use
• Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to learn facility EMR
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
