Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident environments
• Document care and observations in a timely, clear, and professional manner

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — New Mexico certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication assistance and vital sign monitoring fundamentals
• Skilled in activities of daily living support and resident hygiene
• Accurate charting and documentation practices
• Infection control and safety procedures
• Compassionate resident-centered care and effective communication
