Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support mobility, transfers, and safe positioning to promote resident comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and meal assistance to preserve dignity
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and families
• Participate in rehabilitation activities and follow care plans to help residents progress
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential and active New Mexico registry
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Prior experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Basic knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Reliable documentation and time-management habits
