Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: As scheduled (days may vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting needs
Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, comfortable, and respectful environment for residents
Document care accurately and communicate observations to RNs/LPNs
Build positive relationships with residents and their families to support quality of life

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in New Mexico
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
Comfortable working in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and infection control practices
Skill in safe resident handling, transfers, and mobility assistance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
Ability to observe, recognize, and report changes in resident condition
Familiarity with charting and basic documentation practices
