Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the rehab unit
• Assess, monitor and document patient status and progress overnight
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies with calm, clinical judgment
• Support patients with activities of daily living and promote independence
• Communicate clearly with families and day-shift staff during handoffs

Qualifications

• Active RN license for the state of New Mexico (or compact privilege if eligible)
• Experience in rehabilitation or skilled nursing preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Comfort working overnight shifts and independently on per diem assignments
• Strong communication, assessment and documentation skills

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN): Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates should have completed an accredited practical nursing program if considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of rehab nursing principles and post-acute care needs
• Skilled in medication administration, wound care and ADL support
• Ability to prioritize, triage and respond to overnight patient needs
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clear clinical documentation
• Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills
