Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care including assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Monitor residents’ condition and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility records
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to prevent falls and injuries
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (state-required) — current and in good standing
• Demonstrated compassion and reliable patient care skills
• Ability to follow care plans and document interventions accurately
• Willingness to complete facility-required background checks and health screening
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or as required by facility
• Dependable transportation and ability to work per-diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Comfortable with resident mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Good observational skills to notice and report clinical changes
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during your shift
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe handling procedures
