Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (days not specified)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living.
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly.
Support resident mobility and transfers using safe body mechanics and assistive devices.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Communicate respectfully with residents and family members and participate in care planning.

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
State CNA certification or eligibility to practice in New Mexico.
Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to pass background check and meet facility credentialing requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required.

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable assisting with ADLs: bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
Knowledge of infection control best practices and resident safety protocols.
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Familiarity with common long-term care routines and resident-centered care.
