Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with hygiene, dressing, mobility and feeding as needed
• Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and assist with care plans
• Support safe patient handling and infection control practices every shift
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and clinical staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Active authorization to practice in New Mexico (state registry) — required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work well in a team
• Previous long-term care or rehabilitation experience helpful but new grads welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with patient hygiene, transfers and mobility assistance
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and basic observations
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
