Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and promptly
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Support hygiene needs including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient chart
• Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff and follow care plans
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols to ensure a clean environment
• Build rapport with residents and provide emotional support and dignity-centered care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Class: CNA) — required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
• Comfortable assisting with patient transfers and personal care
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in basic nursing care and assisting with ADLs
• Accurate vital sign measurement and reporting
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Infection control best practices and safety awareness
• Compassionate patient interaction and bedside manner
