Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility needs
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and use safe body mechanics at all times
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Follow infection control standards and facility policies to keep patients safe
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active state registry listing for Pennsylvania (if applicable)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Ability to measure and document vital signs and basic observations
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety protocols
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic charting and documentation skills; comfort learning electronic systems
