Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to patients
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
- Assess and monitor patient status, including vital signs and changes in condition
- Document patient care accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
- Respond to urgent situations and escalate appropriately to ensure patient safety
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (LPN or RN accepted)
- Eligibility for or current New Mexico nursing licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
- Comfortable with electronic charting and clinical documentation
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and bedside nursing care
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Wound care, IV therapy, and other common clinical skills as applicable
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
