Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility protocols
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active or eligible CNA license for New Mexico preferred
• BLS/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Ability to pass applicable background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, safe patient handling, and basic nursing care
• Proficiency taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and control practices
• Comfortable performing resident hygiene, feeding assistance, and mobility support
• Strong observational skills and timely reporting of clinical changes
• Professional bedside manner and respect for resident dignity and privacy
