Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients on the medical-surgical unit with clinical judgment and compassion
Administer medications and treatments accurately while adhering to safety standards
Document patient care clearly and timely in the clinical record
Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Advocate for patient needs while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (Registered Nurse and Medical-Surgical listed as primary skills)
Experience caring for medical-surgical patients (Med/Surg specialty noted in posting)
Demonstrated clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital setting
Comfort with electronic charting and standard hospital workflows (unit-specific orientation provided)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
Medication administration and safe clinical practice
Care planning and effective documentation
Infection prevention and patient safety principles
Team communication and coordination with interdisciplinary staff
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs
