Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and basic nursing support to residents
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Communicate clearly with the nursing team to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Document care activities in the patient record in a timely, professional manner
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families to promote wellbeing

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Recent experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting patients

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing procedures and resident care
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and PPE usage
• Comfortable with charting and basic electronic health record entry
• Teamwork, time management, and a patient-first mindset
• Observational skills to notice and escalate changes in condition
