Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to day health clients, including assistance with activities of daily living.
Support therapeutic and recreational activities to enhance clients' well-being.
Monitor vital signs, measure output, and recognize abnormal signs and symptoms.
Maintain a safe and clean environment following infection control and universal precautions.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure holistic care for each client.

Qualifications

Valid State of Hawaii Nurse Aide Certificate required.
Current certifications in CPI, First Aid, and other relevant areas (e.g., ENPC, TNCC, etc.) - preferred or ability to obtain.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care or adult day health setting.
Must be physically capable of performing body mechanics and assisting with patient mobility.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking vital signs, measuring output, and recognizing abnormal signs.
Knowledge of infection control, universal precautions, and patient rights.
Familiarity with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing) and restorative care.
Understanding of basic medical terminology and the aging process.
Ability to provide first aid and respond to emergencies.
