Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, 35 guaranteed weekly hours. No weekends, no on-call.

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement components of patient care and obtain data related to treatments
Collaborate with Physical Therapists to modify care plans as necessary
Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups
Read and follow instructions from Physical Therapists
Communicate with families to recommend at-home techniques
Keep the physical therapy area clean and organized
Assist with patient transfers from wheelchairs or walkers
Complete administrative tasks like scheduling and filing
Teach patients techniques such as balance training

Qualifications

At least 1 year of PTA experience
Current BLS certification through AHA (required)
LTC or SNF experience (required)
Active PTA license
Active Missouri license or compact license at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care and exercise therapy techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate with PTs and interdisciplinary teams
Organizational and time management abilities
Compassionate patient interaction
