Location: Kerrville, Texas

Start Date: 07-20-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, flexible 8-hour days, start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, no weekends, no on-call

Hours per Week: 35

Roles & Responsibilities

Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders
Administer various procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatments as needed, documenting all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic system
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers, and effectively communicate with the healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required training, while adhering to APTA and state practice acts

Qualifications

1+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience required
Long Term Care or Rehabilitation experience required
Active Texas PTA license required
Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission, references, and license verification required
Work history/resume required for submission

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and evaluation
Therapeutic exercises and modalities
Documentation and clinical record keeping
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and with supervising PT
