Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide quality nursing care to all patients with respect and dignity
Serve as a vital member of the nursing staff, collaborating with health aides and mid-levels
Assist in stocking rooms, completing checklists, and ordering medical supplies
Screen calls over the phone and provide after-hours clinic support as needed
Apply age-specific and culturally sensitive care from birth to elderly

Qualifications

Graduate from an LPN or LVN school
Active Alaska LPN license in good standing
Current CPR (BCLS), BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
IV certification preferred
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of hospital experience preferred, new graduates accepted

Education

Graduate from an LNL school for LPNs or LVNs

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to work in a patient care setting with psychiatric patients
Proficiency with medical equipment (dynamapp, thermometer) and office equipment (phones, computers)
Strong patient care and communication skills
