Location: Salida, Colorado

Start Date: 07-13-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Directly provide acute care and swing bed patient care using evidence-based practice
Evaluate health status through thorough collection and assessment of health data
Provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families
Deliver supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through delegation
Execute delegated medical functions with precision
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans for optimal outcomes
Document all assessments, interventions, teaching, and care coordination accurately and timely
Collaborate with ancillary departments and physician providers to address patients' medical, social, and spiritual needs

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado required
Current BLS certification required
ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
Three years of experience preferred for this travel assignment

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Acute care nursing skills
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Health teaching and patient education
Excellent documentation skills
Collaboration and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams
Med-surg nursing expertise
