Location: Decorah, IA

Start Date: 07-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with on-call rotation approximately 1 night per pay period and every 5th-6th weekend, including holiday call

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, urology, podiatry, and dental
Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment
Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently
Ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each case
Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
Active Surgical Technologist certification preferred
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training completion required
Willingness to stay within 30 minutes of WinnMed when on-call

Education

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, urology, podiatry, and dental procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain sterile technique
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules
