Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with ADLs like bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Support meal service and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
• Create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and comfort for each resident
• Assist with safe transfers and use of mobility devices to reduce risk of falls and injury

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem schedule
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team
• Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with attention to detail
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing care and ADLs
• Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition
• Good time management and organization during busy shifts
• Familiarity with documentation practices in a clinical setting
• Customer service mindset for resident and family interactions
