Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Belen, New Mexico
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (overnight/night shift; schedule varies)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Take and document vital signs and report meaningful changes to the clinical team
- Provide compassionate companionship and respond promptly to call lights
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to clear, timely charting
- Follow infection control protocols and help keep the environment clean and safe
- Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in New Mexico (or registry) is required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience as a CNA in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to work overnight shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL support
- Basic vital signs and observational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork with clinical staff
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Attention to detail for documentation and care plans
- Empathy, patience, and ability to build rapport with residents
