Location: Belen, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (overnight/night shift; schedule varies)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Take and document vital signs and report meaningful changes to the clinical team
Provide compassionate companionship and respond promptly to call lights
Maintain accurate records and contribute to clear, timely charting
Follow infection control protocols and help keep the environment clean and safe
Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in New Mexico (or registry) is required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior experience as a CNA in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Dependable, compassionate, and able to work overnight shifts

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and ADL support
Basic vital signs and observational skills
Strong communication and teamwork with clinical staff
Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
Attention to detail for documentation and care plans
Empathy, patience, and ability to build rapport with residents
