Location: Belfast, ME
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem schedule (days vary), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Night shift
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during the night shift
- Monitor and assess patient condition, responding promptly to changes
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient care, observations, and communications clearly and timely
- Support patients and families with education, empathy, and clear communication
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of Maine (or compact license where applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred where applicable
- Demonstrated clinical competence in acute or long-term care settings
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently on per diem shifts
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and infection control practices
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, LPN diploma, or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
- Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight environment
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with nursing best practices and standard clinical protocols
