Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and support daily living activities for residents
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
• Educate patients and families with clear, respectful communication
• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow facility policies for safety and infection control
• Respond promptly to patient needs and participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Maine required
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working per diem shifts, adaptable and reliable
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility vaccination/immunization requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or equivalent clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment skills and comfort with vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Wound care and basic treatments relevant to long-term care settings
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and team members
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during a busy shift
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting (or adaptability to learn)
