Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care during the overnight shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge goals
• Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and escalate when needed
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and comply with facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse credentials (Class: RN | LPN)
• Current state licensure to practice nursing in Maine (per facility requirements)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — obtain or maintain as required by facility
• Comfort working overnight shifts and managing patient care independently
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight hours
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Basic electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and charting
• Prior experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings is a plus
