Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $45 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to residents during overnight hours
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in a timely manner
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
Perform admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed with attention to detail
Educate residents and families about care plans and follow-up needs

Qualifications

Current RN or LPN license in good standing (Maine licensure preferred)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications a plus
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar clinical settings preferred
Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently on per diem shifts

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN; practical nursing diploma for LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for overnight coverage
Medication administration and IV documentation knowledge
Familiarity with long-term care workflows and resident-centered care
Effective communication and teamwork with nursing and support staff
Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
