Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient comfort throughout the shift
• Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff promptly
• Perform routine documentation and charting accurately and on time
• Support safe transfer and ambulation practices, using proper body mechanics
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create a consistent, person-centered care experience

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification and active state registry in New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort and experience working night shifts and with diverse patient populations
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to handle physical aspects of the role
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
• Must meet facility background check and immunization requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care techniques
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to follow care plans and verbal/written instructions
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail
