Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nurse
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning with proper technique
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and patient observations
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients safe
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver consistent, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adaptable to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and ADL assistance
• Accurate vital sign measurement and reporting
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
