Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs and report any notable changes promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document care accurately and communicate observations to the nursing team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate courteously with residents' families and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — valid in New Mexico
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
• Reliable, compassionate, with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside assistance skills
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Competency in taking and recording vital signs
• Comfortable with basic resident hygiene and mobility assistance
• Clear documentation and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
