Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients during night shifts
• Assess patient condition and implement appropriate nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document clinical findings and interventions thoroughly in the medical record
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote recovery

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN or LPN license (able to practice in Maine)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in acute care or long-term care preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program - ADN, diploma, or BSN
• High school diploma or equivalent for LPN pathway where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Medication administration and charting accuracy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Teamwork and clear handoff communication
