Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor, record and report changes in patient condition, including vital signs
- Assist patients with mobility, bathing, dressing and toileting needs
- Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team to support care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean and respectful environment for patients and families
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies at all times
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state registry required or eligible)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Basic infection control practices and patient safety procedures
- Teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff and leadership
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
