Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control protocols
• Support residents’ emotional needs through attentive, respectful communication
• Document care accurately and promptly in the facility’s records

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight/extended shifts as part of per-diem coverage
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a care team
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally between shifts if needed

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Active CNA certification in good standing

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical basics: vital signs, ADLs, infection control best practices
• Patient safety and fall prevention techniques
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Empathy, patience, and strong observational skills
• Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
